Books from the Addict will be taking a brief hiatus from May 1 through 8 of this year, in order to participate in the Holocaust Remembrance Week, hosted by The Introverted Reader. If you want to participate, just check it out by clicking on her blog or on the picture above.
The blog will, however, still be participating in the Pump Up Your Book tour scheduled for May 4 and 5, but otherwise the entire week will be dedicated to Remembrance Week.
Here are some of the topics I will be discussing:
- My junior year “field trip” to D.C. and the Holocaust Museum
- Band of Brothers, episode 9, “Why We Fight”/Band of Brothers (Stephen E. Ambrose), book
- Night by Elie Wiesel
- Defiance (film)
- Other related text books/memoirs
- The Holocaust itself, with references from different books
I own a lot of books relating to the Holocaust, and the WWII era in general. And a lot of them are heavy, and have a lot to say, so I will probably have a lot to say.
Until then, this blog will maintain its regular (or not-so-regular) postings of book reviews, some memes, and random blatherings about books. Afterwards, on May 9, this blog will resume said blatherings.
Thank you. That is all. 🙂
